Rochas is a fashion, beauty, and perfume house founded in 1925 by Marcel Rochas, the first designer of 2/3-length coats and skirts with pockets. It is currently owned by Procter & Gamble.

Rochas had been known primarily for its signature perfume, "Femme," which was packaged in a pink box with black lace.

The company found recent recognition for its fashion design when it chose Olivier Theyskens as its creative director in 2002. (In the years leading to his appointment, its clothes had not been considered notable.) Theyskens, within his first few months, created an "entirely new silhouette for the house" that was French-influenced and elegant. His first full collection, for Fall 2003, was praised by style.com as "ravishing" and "nothing short of magnificent."

Dolce & Gabbana is an Italian fashion house. Its designs are worn by the likes of Madonna, Monica Bellucci, Ayumi Hamasaki, Isabella Rossellini and Kylie Minogue amongst others.

The company was started by the Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana and is based in Milan, Italy. By 2005 their turnover was £597 million (€750 million).

Dolce was born in 1958 , near Palermo, Sicily, whilst Stefano Gabbana (b. 1962) comes from Milan. The pair first met in Milan in 1980, while working as assistants in an atelier. They started business together in 1982, and continued to do freelance designing for others.
